About 8 years ago Cherida took a chainmail course from a well-known chainmaille artist in Waterloo and has not stopped creating since. She enjoys working beads into the jewelry and also the challenge of figuring out weaves from seeing other pieces. Then every piece becomes her favourite.
Cherida lives south of Wingham, and some of her skillfully-created pieces can be found at "Stitches with a Twist" in Blyth and at "Soul Centre" in Goderich.
As she demonstrates this age-old technique with a contemporary look, drop by and meet her at the "All Things Bright and Beautiful" event on Wednesday, August 16, at the South Huron Rec Centre in Exeter.
