Lorraine was born in London,
England and lived, for the most part, in rural southwestern Ontario with her
five younger siblings, and , as an adult, with her four sons.
Lorraine is an artist currently
living between Port Franks and her Balmy Beach homes with her partner and
fellow artist Tony Miller. Tony and Lorraine were both graduates of H.B. Beal where they first met. She then attended the Fine Art program at Fanshawe College.

Lorraine has worked in many
types of media. Recently chalk pastel has become her favourite.
Pastels can be a drawing tool as well as a textural and sensual component while
blending with fingers and thumbs.
Art has always held an
important and necessary part of her life, and she will continue creating and shaping her knowledge. A
new location for her new art gallery and studio is in the works on Georgian
Bay, which will display work and host classes.
The piece that she has chosen
is “Peaches for you…Peaches for me”. As Lorraine is an avid cook and baker, peaches, along with
many of natures gems, are “Bright and Beautiful” and much anticipated in our
both barren and bountiful country.
